AEL Program: Nomination Process

The Texas Council of Chief Academic Officers (TCCAO) invites nominations for the Academic Executive Leadership Program. This initiative supports the development of senior academic leaders who are preparing for senior executive roles in higher education.

Who Should Be Nominated?

Senior academic leaders (e.g., deans, associate provosts) who are “one step away” from a Chief Academic Officer role and are affiliated with a TCCAO member institution.

How to Nominate

Nominations must be initiated and submitted by the institution’s Chief Academic Officer to clyons@utsystem.edu and include the following:

  1. Letter of Support from the Chief Academic Officer
  2. Application Form and CV (completed and submitted by the nominee to the CAO)

Institutional Support

By submitting a nomination, the institution affirms its support for the fellow’s full participation in the program, including:

  1. Release time for program activities
  2. Travel support associated with program participation
